Keynote Speaker

Virginia Assessment Group is pleased to announce that Dr. J. Patrick Biddix will give the keynote address. Dr. Biddix is on the faculty at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where he studies co-curricular college outcomes and student learning. We are delighted that he will join us in November.

J. Patrick Biddix is a professor of higher education and associate director of the Postsecondary Education Research Center (PERC) at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He teaches graduate courses in research, assessment and evaluation, and special topics in higher education and student affairs. His areas of expertise include research methodology and assessment, college student experiences, and postsecondary outcomes. Specific areas relevant to this project include student success, academic advising models, and evaluation. Biddix received his doctorate in education with a concentration in higher education from the University of Missouri in St. Louis (2006). He also holds a graduate certificate in Institutional Research from UMSL (2005).
