Longwood University Assessment Conference
Open to the public, the Longwood Assessment Conference celebrates its 7 year anniversary and 5th year as a virtual conference. You can navigate to http://blogs.longwood.edu/assessconference2017/ to learn what Longwood faculty and staff have found from their research and assessment of course, program and service practices. As you view their presentations, you will gain insights that are transferable or that can used for further investigations and improvement within higher education institutions. From February 13-17th, presenters will be available via the "Leave a Reply" on each presentation page to converse with participants. The conference site with links to sessions and materials will remain open for future reference. The guest speaker, Dr. Keston Fulcher of JMU, will be presenting on the Learning Improvement by Design model that Longwood's Communication Studies program will be piloting beginning spring 2017.

HEDS Annual Conference – Call for Proposals
The Higher Education Data Sharing (HEDS) Consortium is accepting proposals for its 2017 Annual Conference to be held June 18–21, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Details on submitting a proposal are available at here.
The HEDS conference brings together people in an informal setting to present on and discuss topics related to assessment, institutional research, institutional effectiveness, and other ways of using evidence to improve our institutions. We welcome proposals from people at all colleges and universities. HEDS membership is not required.

The University of Georgia (UGA) is searching for an Assistant Director of Assessment within the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL). Reporting to the Director of the CTL, the Assistant Director of Assessment will engage in two central domains of activity: 1) Coordinate and provide training, support, and consulting for those engaging in student learning outcomes (SLO) assessment at UGA and 2) Perform SLO assessment (including data collection, analysis, and reporting) for institution-level projects that require such assessment (these projects currently include General Education and UGA’s SACSCOC Quality Enhancement Plan).
