More Information About the Drive-in

What is telepresence?

Telepresence provides a seamless videoconferencing experience. Telepresence provides an immersive experience where everyone feels like they’re in the same room through technology.

How will the drive-in work?

Participants will drive-in to their closest 4-VA campus. You will be on location with professionals from the local area. The workshops will be centrally broadcasted to each 4-VA campus and each campus will have a host to help organize the local event and facilitate breakout activities.

What is the cost?

Thanks for the 4-VA Collaborative Research Grant that the Virginia Assessment Group received the registration is free. Parking will be covered and lunch will be provided.

How do Community Colleges get a travel grant?

The first 15 community college participants to register for the drive-in will be awarded a $50 travel grant, which will be reimbursed after the event from the VCCS. Only one travel grant can be awarded to each institution. It is our hope that multiple participants across the VCCS will benefit from this award. More details will be shared upon registration.

Can I participate via Webex?

For our first event, we can only accommodate participants who are able to drive-in to a 4-VA campus. We hope that this will be an opportunity for you meet new colleagues in higher education and help us develop a community of people excited about telling learning improvement stories.
