Virginia Regional Accreditation Symposium Distinguished Honor Award
Recognizes an outstanding accreditation professional in Virginia who has made a significant and sustained contribution to the field of accreditation, their institution, and/or the VRAS community.
Virginia Association for Institutional Research Distinguished Honor Award
Recognizes an outstanding institutional research professional in Virginia who has made a significant and sustained contribution to the field of institutional research, their institution, and/or the VAIR community.
Education, Professional Development, and Scholarship
Scholarships Developing Assessment Professionals
Recognizing the service and support of Linda Townsend to the Virginia Assessment Group, this award is given annually to a promising graduate student interested in a career in the field of higher education assessment. The award is $100 dollars for the selected graduate student(s) that can be applied to conference registration, hotel, travel, food, etc. It is intended to promote future leaders in higher education assessment and continue the mission of Virginia Assessment Group by building community and creating professional development opportunities for current and future members.
Applicants must be current full-time graduate students that plan to attend this year’s conference. Award winners will be recognized during the conference business meeting.
Applications are due October 1, 2025 and award decision will be communicated on October 15, 2025.
